Beginner


Beginner Injector Course (10 Hours)

The beginner course is designed for practitioners who are new to aesthetic injectables or want a strong clinical foundation before advancing. It focuses on safety, anatomy, and core injection techniques while preparing participants to confidently assess patients and plan treatments. Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand facial anatomy as it applies to neuromodulators and dermal fillers
  • Recognize facial aging patterns and how injectables are used to address them
  • Compare commonly used neuromodulators and understand how their properties differ
  • Learn the fundamentals of dermal fillers and their structural and functional uses
  • Identify appropriate treatment areas and patient candidacy
  • Analyze facial structure, map injection sites, and plan treatments
  • Properly prepare neuromodulators for clinical use
  • Prepare patients for injections and manage discomfort effectively
  • Perform injections during supervised, hands-on training with live models
  • Observe real-world clinical workflows through live shadowing with experienced instructors

Comprehensive


Comprehensive Injector Course (20 Hours)

This course is designed for providers who already have experience with injectables or have completed beginner-level training. This advanced program expands on foundational skills and introduces more complex treatment strategies, off-label applications, and business considerations. Participants will learn how to:

  • Manage complex patient consultations and set realistic expectations
  • Treat patients with asymmetry or higher-risk facial anatomy
  • Perform advanced neuromodulator treatments in both cosmetic and functional areas
  • Utilize advanced dermal filler techniques for facial contouring and structure
  • Determine when to use cannulas versus needles and apply each safely
  • Work with non-dissolvable and biostimulatory fillers
  • Address and manage potential complications and side effects
  • Apply injectables in areas such as the jawline, chin, temples, neck, and beyond
  • Understand the business fundamentals of aesthetic practice growth
  • Gain real-world experience through extended live shadowing with senior instructors

Exam and Certification

AACM™ certification is awarded after successful completion of the in-person training program. Students are evaluated based on active participation, understanding of facial anatomy, injection safety, and proper technique during hands-on training with live models.

Instructors assess performance throughout the course, focusing on clinical judgment, precision, and patient safety rather than written testing alone. Once all training requirements are met, participants are certified and are allowed to use the FAACM® credential for 1 year.
